Hot on the heels of success at the Extreme Sailing Series for Masirah and The Wave, Muscat in France, it was Oman Sail's Renaissance which made it an Oman hat-trick. After 4 days of challenging sailors, the crew of Oman Sail’s Renaissance took victory in the 9-race series with a race to spare.

On her journey from Cochin to Sri Lanka, the Jewel of Muscat experienced a variety of conditions but it only took one bad wind-squall to damage the masts. Fortunately the skill of the crew on board was enough to prevent any real danger as they made they made repairs for the remainder of the leg.

Hobie 16 National Championships
The weekend of the 1st-2nd October saw the Oman Hobie 16 National Championships taking place in the warm waters off Muscat. Three Oman Sail boats took part with Omani crews from the Academy.
