Mixed fortunes in Cowes for the Oman Sail Extreme 40s05 August 2010
Oman Sail's, The Wave, Muscat, skippered by Paul Campbell James and sailing with Oman National Squad member Khamis Al Anbouri, continues to top the leader board in Cowes winning three of their seven races today.

Oman Sail welcomed His Highness Sayyid Tariq bin Shabib Al Said to Cowes today to participate in the Extreme 40 racing. The Wave, Muscat is still leading the fleet in Cowes Week, one of the longest running sporting events in UK that attracts 1,000 yachts and 8,500 competitors.

Oman Sail welcomed some very special guests to Cowes today. Oman Air representatives were in Cowes to reveal the new colours of the Arabian 100 Trimaran, Majan. Also arriving to support the two Oman Sail Extreme 40 teams was His Highness Sayyid Tariq bin Shabib Al Said.

The 184th Cowes Week regatta has started in Cowes, Isle of Wight. It is one of the longest running events in UK sporting history and attracts 1,000 yachts and 8,500 competitors ranging from weekend sailors through to Olympic medalists and World Champions.

The second chapter of Oman's round the world sailing history was written on Saturday 17th July. Ahmed Al Ma'amari and Abdullah Al Busaidi sailed into England at 2am, marking a full circumnavigation the world.

Hobie 16 National Championships
The weekend of the 1st-2nd October saw the Oman Hobie 16 National Championships taking place in the warm waters off Muscat. Three Oman Sail boats took part with Omani crews from the Academy.
