OMAN MAKES FURTHER GAINS IN ITALY17 May 2009
Day 2 of the iShares Cup in Venice got off to a slow start yesterday with racing being postponed due to light winds. Renaissance took first place in the final race after being at the top of the fleet all day. This gives them a psychological advantage going into Sunday's all-important double points scoring races. Masirah have been the dominant team with the most number of race wins across the fleet and would be challenging for the overall lead if not for a disappointing tenth place in the last race of the day.
