Pressure Is On The Oman Sail Team As They Start The Cowes Leg Of The iShares Cup01 August 2009
Cowes, in the South of England, hosts one of the highlights of the British summer sporting events: Cowes Week. This is a week-long celebration of sailing that starts today (Saturday 1 August) and will see over a thousand boats racing on the stretch of water between mainland Britain and the Isle of Wight. Much of the racing takes place on the Solent that is, at points, only 3km wide which means the racing is close and hard-fought.

In Salalah the techniques of the past were put to good use in a sailing yacht of the future. It was a definite coming together of old and new, traditional and contemporary in the massive shed in which the Arabian 100 trimaran is being built by Oman Sail.

Loick Peyron also keeps his team on the podium for a third place finish on Renaissance after an error cost him and his crew several places. It was a truly nail biting finish in lots of wind and Masirah did well to hold their cool during the last race (double points) and take the overall win.
Mixed Fortunes But Strong Results For Oman Sail 04 July 2009
Masirah take strong lead to win second day but Renaissance out after race one. Today's racing in Hyeres saw nail biting finishes, collisions and boat to boat action all within a stone's throw from shore. Masirah take a 13 point lead into the third and final day but their work is cut out for them with BMW Oracle snapping at their heels along with the French contingency of Groupama and Gitana Extreme.
Oman's Masirah Takes Top Spot On Day 1- Hyeres04 July 2009
Fresh from their victory over a quadruple Olympic medalist and an America's Cup challenger, Oman Sail's Masirah Extreme 40 is on the top step of the podium after the first day of the iShares Cup. The conditions off the coast of the South of France matched the conditions off Muscat in which Masirah trained in and gave them four first places out of six races.
Oman Sail Looking For Victory In France30 June 2009
Fresh from a convincing win in the Round The Island Race in the UK, Oman Sail is looking for a strong result in the iShares Cup this weekend as they go into the second of six rounds. Both boats, Masirah and Renaissance, had strong results in the first round of the iShares Cup in Venice but both felt they could have done better.

Hobie 16 National Championships
The weekend of the 1st-2nd October saw the Oman Hobie 16 National Championships taking place in the warm waters off Muscat. Three Oman Sail boats took part with Omani crews from the Academy.
