Job Title:Head of Sponsorship Sales
Job Function: This is a senior role working with the Directors and CEO of Oman Sail to secure sponsorship for Oman Sail’s various national and international properties.
Reports to: Business Development Director
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AREAS
- Leads the sponsorship sales department
- Directly responsible for Oman Sail’s sponsorship sales efforts
- Create and implement a sponsorship sales strategy for Oman Sail’s properties
- Lead the timely creation of sales proposals
- Lead the research and identification of new business prospects
- Creation and day to day management of a corporate sales database
- Creation and management of a central depository for all sales proposals
- Work closely with Oman Sail’s senior leadership and department heads to package and sell properties
- Arranging sales meetings and ensuring fast follow up
- Creating and managing a client engagement programme including a local, regional and international hospitality programme
- Build relationships with Oman Sail clients and potential clients
- Liaise closely with Oman Sail’s client servicing department to ensure rights delivery and reporting
- Reporting sales activities to Business Development Director
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Master degree in Business studies or relevant with 6 years of experience or Bachelor degree with 8 years of experience
- The experience is preferred to be in a similar role at a dynamic organisation
- Fluent spoken English (Arabic a bonus)
- Exceptional written English
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Outstanding proposal and presentation writer
- Highly proficient in all major Microsoft Office packages including excel, power point
- Comfortable dealing with senior executives
- Professional, business, career orientated attitude
- Creative, proactive thinker with entrepreneurial attitude
- Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines
