Offshore sailing is synonymous with big, fast yachts that grab headlines and make people take interest.

As part of the Oman Sail project, the offshore programme serves many purposes, only one of which is to increase awareness of the country. 

Offshore sailing, by nature, takes sailors out to sea for longer periods of time and therefore suits Oman Sail’s objectives in training Omani sailors and giving them the experience needed to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
